Who is Sven Ruppert?
Sven has been programming Java since 1996. He works as an independent Developer Advocate, conference speaker, author and trainer, based in the DACH region but operating across Europe and Asia. Before going independent, he led developer relations and engineering at JFrog and Vaadin and held architect and CTO roles at several product companies.
His technical focus is Core Java, secure coding, server-side architecture and the kind of low-level JDK work that ProxyBuilder is built on — annotation processing, JPMS, dynamic proxies, GraalVM-friendly designs. Outside of software, he is a certified Arctic-expedition trainer.

ProxyBuilder is a European open-source project, end to end. That is more than a badge; here is what it means in practice.
- Licence. EUPL-1.2 — the European Union Public Licence, legally binding in 23 official languages of the EU.
- Maintainer. Sven Ruppert, based in the EU.
- Hosting. This website is served from a Hetzner server in Germany. No data transfer to third countries for normal page views.
- Analytics. Either none, or Plausible (EU-hosted, cookieless). No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no behavioural tracking.
- Fonts. Inter and JetBrains Mono are self-hosted. No Google Fonts CDN.
- Source. Primary repository on GitHub; a Codeberg mirror is under consideration as an EU-hosted forge alternative.
